FAQ Vibration

Scanning Electron Microscope is a type of electron microscope which is one of the most widely used analytical tools providing highly magnified images. Using a focused beam of electrons, it generates various signals at the surface of a solid sample which reveals the details of surface morphology, chemical composition, crystalline structure and the orientation of materials constituting the sample. This high-tech microscope provides long-depth-of-field with 3D and high resolution images of the surface of the sample and near-surface.

Aim of the Program:

It is worth mentioning that the quality and content of this training program is designed in a manner that a trainee will readily meet the broad scope of industrial requirements. The training program is so exhaustive that it balances the theoretical as well as practical guidance and provides extensive lab opportunities. During the training, ample time is provided to every trainee for hands-on experiences on the instrument. The training program is made comprehensive so that the trainee becomes well versed with all the practical aspects of the instrument. The trainee learns all the maintenance procedures tailored to give them a working knowledge about the mechanical functions of the instrument.
Minimum Eligibility Required The trainee must hold a Diploma or Graduation Degree in Science field or must be pursuing the same.

 

Training Module for 6 Days

Day 1
Theoretical session on introduction to SEM, its basic principle and its applications in various fields via power point presentation and practical
Day 2
Theoretical session on the capabilities of SEM, method of sample preparation, image contrast formation (SE, BSE, etc.) and practical session on SEM alignment and operation techniques and specimen preparation.
Day 3
Theoretical and Practical sessions on image interpretation of different types of samples.
Day 4
Exposure to saving, recording, calibrating and print the images along with precautions to be taken while working on SEM.
Day 5
Explaining sample preparation techniques/ Extraction techniques with an interactive demonstration. Maintaining the SEM instrument and troubleshooting the problems.
Day 6
Problem solving session followed by a written test.
