Chillies and coriander are two major spices consumed by people all over the world. India is one of the largest exporter of chillies and coriander.

Coming to the export data, Chilli is exported to over 144 countries. In the year 2020-2021 (Apr-Nov), India has exported Chilli worth of 78.81 USD million. The total volume of export in 2020-2021 (Apr-Nov) was around 42394499.

Coriander Seeds is exported to over 140 countries. In the year 2020-2021 (Apr-Nov), India has exported Coriander Seeds worth of 43.27 USD million. The total volume of export in 2020-2021 (Apr-Nov) was around 44734397.

Health benefits:

Coriander is also called by names – cilantro, or Chinese parsley is a well known spice native to the Mediterranean. Coriander plants are edible as wholesome and their leaves and seeds are widely used as spices and herbs.

The vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants in coriander provide significant health benefits. Coriander leaves and seeds are full of vitamin K, which plays an important role in helping your blood clot. Other benefits of having coriander in your diet includes -

Chili peppers (Capsicum annuum) are the fruits of Capsicum pepper plants, notable for their authentic, hot flavor. Chili peppers are primarily used as a spice and can be cooked or dried and powdered. Powdered, red chili peppers are known as paprika. Capsaicin is the main bioactive plant compound in chili peppers, responsible for their unique, pungent taste and many of their health benefits. Chillies are rich sources of vitamins – C, B6, K1, A, potassium, copper.
