Cumin Testing in Eurofins

Sidebar Image

Commonly known as Jeera, Cumin is one the important and most widely used ingredients for spicing our Indian food. As we all know, it aids in better digestion of food, and its medicinal properties has proven to treat common cold. Due to its unique flavour and aroma, this spice is globally consumed.

Apart from this, Cumin acts as a good source of calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus and calcium. Also cumin seeds are rich in Vitamin A, C, K, E, and also B6. Consuming about 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds is recommended to meet the daily requirements of these nutrients.

Unfortunately, like all other food commodities, cumin seeds are also subjected to adulteration. In order to address the issue, the Spices Board, has issued a circular requiring exporters to undergo stricter testing and quality check.

Eurofins widely offered following parameters for spices testing
